In the Winter Olympics, temporary facilities are large and wide, but they play an important role. Professor xxx, head of the temporary facilities project of the "Science and Technology Winter Olympics" of Beijing University of Architecture, said in an interview that compared with previous Winter Olympics, the slope field of the Beijing Winter Olympics has more complex terrain, larger number and scale of temporary facilities, and higher technical requirements for temporary support frame construction. The number and scale of temporary houses and toilets are large, and the technical requirements for sustainability, zero emission, low-carbon heating, insulation and ventilation are high. However, China lacks experience in the construction of large-scale temporary facilities under severe cold, mountainous and strong wind conditions, and it is urgent to carry out innovative research on the construction and operation and maintenance of temporary facilities under severe cold conditions.
For xxx, the application in the Beijing Winter Olympics is an excellent scientific research opportunity and a challenging technical difficulty. Xxx has been studying permanent buildings and steel structures before, and her handwriting is included in the design of Daxing Airport. But she doesn't have much experience in the field of temporary facilities.
This time, according to the performance requirements of recyclability, environmental protection and cold resistance, the project team chose stainless steel material to build the frame body of the temporary building, and the support frame body using this new material has not been verified in such a cold environment.
Creating low temperature conditions was a key factor in the success of the test, and it was also the first problem encountered by the project team-there was no test equipment that could meet the low temperature conditions. A post-90s doctoral student in the team proposed the idea of using "liquid nitrogen" as the main cooling method to create a low-temperature loading environment. The teachers and students jointly designed and produced the liquid nitrogen low temperature box, developed the refrigeration sealing test device and test method, which not only took into account the economy, but also realized the test conditions of temperature control and test piece loading phase separation, and successfully carried out the low temperature performance test of the key nodes of the support frame.
